ADC 16 Introduces Delay

I am writing an application for measuring pressure (bars) using ADC-16 under VB6. The program monitors a pressure change and turns off some valves so as to retain an exact amount of pressure in a contained space.

The problem is that the readings I am getting from the ADC 16 are always delayed compared to the actual pressure achieved monitored using a multimeter. Is there any way to remedy this.

I initialise the ADC 16 using 16 bit resolution and a serial connection to the PC.

Thank you for your enquiry.

The ADC16 has a sampling rate of 1.5 samples/sec. Could this be the source of your delay?
