Hi.
What is the correct way to interpret the FFT spectrum returned by the ADC-212?
I am interested in the harmonic content i.e. the amplitudes of the fundamental(1st), 2nd, 3rd, etc. of an output waveform that was produced by switching at 20kHz. |

Hi,
To get the most accurate measurements for the fundemental, second, third harmonic etc. Is to use the measurement settings:
Setting | Measurements
These can be added to the Spectrum analyser. To get all the harmonics that you want the bandwidth has to be set high enough for all to be seen. ie. to see the 5 harmonic of a 20kHz signal the bandwidth would have to be set at 100kHz minimum.
Best regards,

What about the windowing techniques?
Can you direct me to any online tutorials on Data Interpretation of the FFT Spectrum? |

Hi,
Picoscope takes care of the Windowing Techniques for you, however, if you want to find out more about these just do a search on google.
Best regards, |
