We have just ordered two Dr DAQ data loggers and hunidity/temperature sensors but the leads supplied will not connect to the portable laptops as there is no serial port only a USB port. Also there is no power unit or battery pack for powering the dat loggers. Can you help please?
Best wishes,
Gary Booth. |

Hello Gary,
Dr DAQ uses the computer parallel port which newer laptops do not provide, therefore, you will require the Pico USB parallel port (http://www.picotech.com/usb_parallel_port.html).

Many thanks will be ordering two of these soon but your question mentions nothing about the power supply needs of the data logger. Do I need a special battery pack?
Best wishes,

Hi Gary,
The unit is normally powered from the parallel port and, from an USB port when used with the USB adapter.
