Updated Picolog, now can't re-open files

I have an ADC-11 USB. Have been using Picolog R5.16.2 successfully for several months. Only complaint was that it would never remember window sizing I set at every use. Today I decided to download an updated rev of Picolog. Installed successfully, but now crashes every time I try to re-open any files -- old or newly created since the update.

I tried re-installing my old R5.16.2. That seemed to go OK, but I'm still stuck with the same inability to open any previously created files. This was not a problem just yesterday before the upgrade attempt.

Please help!

I just successfully opened files after disconnecting ADC-11 and re-opening Picolog. Re-confirmed inability to open any files without crashing if ADC-11 is connected. All this is currently with R5.16.2
