Dear experts
I plan to build a setup consisting of a programmable signal generator, a patch clamp amplifier + headstage and a picoscope. I want to be able to program the picoscope software in such a way that membrane responses to applied signals from the signal generator are saved automatically in syncronization with the the applied signals. If f.ex. I program the signal generator to provide a square shaped signal every 2 min., I want Picoscope to automatically save the membrane response being created every 2 min.
I would prefer not to use the trigger function in picoscope, since the membrane responces change in time.
Is it possible to program the Picoscope software in this manner?
Best Regards

Hi Mark,
You cannot reprogramme PicoScope to do what you want you asked for. However you do not have to use PicoScope, you can write your own software. If you have a 5000 series oscilloscope you can download the SDK from our website. If you have another scope you can download PicoScope 5 and do a custom installation to install the prorgamming examples. In any case refer to the user manual for your product for a list and description of function calls to use.
Kind regards |
