Earthing Laptop case

Any reccomendations on how best and/or the easiest place to earth my laptop chassis to get around problems of Switch mode power supply and a TC-08 USB?

Could I use the outer edge of the external monitor or RS232 connectors as these are 'protective earth' connections?

Hello Warren,

The electrical safety implications of your question are beyond the scope of advice that we can give.

If you are experiencing power supply noise problems, you could try running the laptop from batteries or try a linear power supply.
