Hello,

I have a software product that works with instruments built around the TC-08 datalogger. My program makes calls to tc0832.dll.

Lately some of my customers started reporting problems with new dataloggers: my program does not recognize them. I suspect that they install both PicoLog and my program, so I don't know what drivers are installed.

One additional symptom: one of my customers sent me a screenshot of his Device Manager, its USB section lists "Pico High Resolution Data Logger". The USB section of my Device Manager lists "Pico USB TC-08".

Does anyone know if there was a change in the TC-08 firmware or driver within the last couple years? If yes, should the old tc0832.dll be still compatible with the new loggers, assuming PicoLog is uninstalled completely?

Thanks,

Sergey Liberman

Hi and thank you for your post.

The USBTC-08 and Serial ported TC0-08 are different devices the hardware is different, it uses a different driver as well. If you installed your software for the TC-08 serial and tried to plug in a USB TC-08 it will not be recognised as the driver has not been chosen in the installation process. Both devices are supported in our latest drivers.

The "high resolution data logger" is and ADC20 or and ADC24

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

Hello Ziko,

Thank you for the prompt reply. Actually, in the past, I used both serial and USB TC-08. I believe that the manufacturer of the instrument for which I wrote my software switched to ADC-24. Therefore I have a related question/request:

I downloaded the latest full installation of PicoLog and installed it, including examples for TC-08 (serial and USB) and ADC20/24. Now, while the folders for TC-08's include examples in LabVIEW, ADC20/24 does not. At the same time, the manual mentions a LabVIEW example - the file HRDL.vi. If it is available, can you e-mail it to me at <s.liberman@comcast.net>?

Thanks,

Hi and thank you for your post there does not appear to be a labview example available in the Examples folder it will be available in the next release.

Please find attached the required examples.

Kind regards
