Hi,

I have just bought a 2202 and am trying to install on a core 2 duo with Vista pro.

It installs but won't run.

Looking in my Vista Device Manager under USB it says it is installed but can't start. The red LED on the 2202 front panel initially lights when connected then when the PicoScope software runs the LED extinguishes.

I read the warning notice about Vista on your support opening web page but found it confusing. I am logged in as administrator. The note about 2202 et al confuses me. It says exceptions are ..... does this mean they will work or won't work at all under Vista?

Any help appreciated.

Derry.

Hi and thank you for your post

Currently the 2202 is not supported in Vista, however by the end of this month the new release of our software will be supporting the 2202 on Vista.

If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards

Ziko

Hi,

I have same problem: Windows Vista, PicoScope 2202 and PicoScope R5.16.2 software does not work.

Device Manager says that device driver is installed but device cannot start. (Code 10)

On Windows XP the PicoScope 2202 is working correctly.

Any proposal for resolving the problem?

The problem has been fixed but is not yet available in the current install package (5.16.2).

In the attached Zipped folder there is a new version of PS2000.DLL. Overwrite the existing dll in the PicoScope install directory (usually C:\Program Files\Pico Technology\Pico Full). Unplug your PS2202 and plug it back in again.

Device Manager should report no error and PicoScope / PicoLog should run fine.

Regards

Mark
