Hi, this is me again. Thank you for the answers.
If I’m interested in both the time domain and the frequency spectrum and my signal is a single shot that will last for a very short time (and cannot be repeated), is there a possibility that I’ll be unable to have both windows displaying the waveform and the frequency spectrum (for that short event). This rose in my mind because when I press the “go” button very fast twice I’ve always got only one window is able to display.
Another thing is, I don’t understand why when I change the record length the record time remains not changing.
Thanks,
Best regards,
Ali |

Hello Ali,
If you are looking for a single one-tiem event, you will need to use either spectrum or scope view. With the scope view you can export the waveform to excel to perform your FFT. Or you can use the FFT window and configure the trigger to capture the waveform and perform the FFT for you.
Best regards,
