Hello, I have a question - what does the 10GS/s sampling rate of this oscilloscope exactly mean? For what can this feature be used? I would like to visualize eye diagrams of modern fast serial buses, like PCIexpress, gigabit Ethernet or Infiniband (1 ~ 2.5 Gbps). Aren't there low pass filters at input of the ADC, which would make it impossible to measure such signals? Can this feature be used to for oversampling?
Thanks

Yes it can Gordon.
The software allows you to select ETS functions and oversampling rates for the 3204,5&6.
Best regards,

Hi
Just to add to that, the front end bandwidth is 200MHz on the 3206 and so anything over this may not display as well.
