Since the scope is PC based, are there any extensions avaliable that would allow the lap-top to be essentially stationary during a vehicle
diagnosis of its ignition system? Primary or secondary. For example,
not having to place my lap-top near the hood of a car.

Hi Harvey,

You can use a long USB cable or Parallel cable (depending on what scope you have) to keep the laptop away from the vehicle. It should be ok to use something like 5 metre cables.
