Please explain PicoScope 3206 sampling rates!

I am using the PS3000 example Labview vi. I have the PicoScope 3206, using a single channel. The 2nd channel is NOT routed to double the effective sampling rate, so I am assuming that the maximum sampling rate is 100 MS/second. The PicoScope 3206 documentation explains that the timebase enumerations number from 0 to 14--0 being equal to the max sampling capability (100 MHz in my case). Does this mean that a timebase setting of 14 equates to 6 KHz, and 6KHz is the minimum frequency I can select? My application requires a sampling rate around 2-3 KHz. How can this be accomplished?

Hi

Thank you for your post.

I have been checking with our engineers and unfortunately our documentation needs updating here. The maximum timebase for the PS3206 is now 21 (which gives a sample rate of 95Hz).

This will soon be amended in our documentation.

You mentioned that the PicoScope 3206 has a maximum timebase of 21--making the minimum frequency 95 Hz. Perhaps my math is wrong but at 21, I get the minimum timebase of .47 Hz. Please see the table below:

Sarah: I noted that timebase #15 in your table reads 9103.515625Hz which is not half of #14 12207.03125Hz. Is this a typo or correct?

Yes, I believe number 15 should be 6103.515625Hz
