Hello,
I have a 200/50 that I want to use to record sound waves for some experiments that my brother and I are doing. I want to write some
software that can control the hardware and be used to keep track of
the parameters of the tests as they occur. It is my understanding that
c interfaces are available for use on an xp box.
I could not find a download link for either documentation, examples and/or dlls.
Also, is there a java interface for the 200/50?
Thanks

Hi
Thank you for your post.
You can download the drivers and manuals for writing your own software at:
http://www.picotech.com/software.html
You want the drivers manuals and examples download near the bottom.
It will then be possible to write your own application to run your unit. We do not however currently support Java.
Hope this helps

Ok,
I now have the C interface downloaded and have more questions.
Is the 200/50 directly accessible similar to how the bitscope works?
i.e. can I communicate with the machine directly rather than via the
dll libraries? If I can communicate directly with the box I was thinking
I could use the java comm interface to commuincate to the parallel port.

Hi
Thank you for your post.
No, you will need to communicate with the unit via the drivers.
Hope this helps
