Hi

I need to monitor a square wave signal, 12volts peak to peak and current, 12mA to 4Amps.

I envisage using a current clamp and scope, Currently have an ADC42, but as the period of the waveform is continuously changing I do not think it samples fast enough to give a smooth sweep

Hi

Thank you for your post.

What sort of sampling rate are you looking for?

I would suggest that our ADC-212/3 may be of use to you. You could measure voltage with one channel and then use the other with a current clamp to measure the current.

The ADC-212/3 has a maximum sampling rate of 3MS/s, this is split between the active channels so if you are using both channels then this will become 1.5MS/s per channel.

More information is available from:

Hope this helps

Best Regards
