I can find no reference to whether I need to use an analogue low pass anti aliasing filter before input to the ADC.
Could someone please let me know if this is a requirement and if so what filter to use when sampling at 1ms.

Hi

Thank you for your post.

As there is no filtering on the inputs of our units, you may find a filter is of use in your application. I would not say however that it is essential to use one.

Hope this helps

Hi

Thank you for your post.

There are no anti-aliasing filters present on any of our products.

Unfortunately I am unable to give you specific information on filters and how they work - this is something that you need to research yourself. You may find the following websites of use:

http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/appnote_number/928
http://www.proav.de/index.html?http&&&www.proav.de/data/aliasing.html

Hope this helps

Best Regards
