Here is your monthly Test and Measurement update from Pico Technology.

1.  New AC/DC Current Clamps

Our range of AC/DC current clamps have proved very popular especially for automotive diagnostics. We are pleased to announce that we now have two new clamps that have been designed specifically to reduce stray pickup when working in noisy electrical environments.

The new 60A and 600A clamps have additional screening in the body along with a three meter screened cable terminating in a BNC connector that can be plugged directly in any oscilloscope.

2.  New Software — PicoScope R5.11.3 Beta

PicoScope R5.11.3 (beta version) was uploaded onto our website on the 26th August.

This release contains a number of minor bug fixes and in addition adds the following new features:

• New measurements — number of oscilloscope samples
• Measurements are now colour coded to channels
• Rulers now have an indicator to show which channel they refer to

3.  New Application Note — Monitoring Gas Turbine Engines

A new application note on our website shows how one of our data loggers is being used to monitor both a gas turbine engine and its PID control system.

4.  New Science Experiment — Measuring Angular Velocity

This new physics experiment is aimed at students aged 11+ and uses the DrDAQ data logger and a model aeroplane to study angular velocity.

5.  Automechanika Exhibition

With over 4000 companies exhibiting, Automechanika in Frankfurt, Germany is one of the biggest automotive exhibitions.

Running from the 14th to the 19th September, Pico will be exhibiting on stand F90 in hall 9.1.

7.  Windmill Software Newsletter
