Pico Automotive Diagnostic Kit Training

16th March 2005 — St Neots, Cambridgeshire, UK

This course will help you get the best out of the Pico Automotive Diagnostics Kit and PicoScope software. It briefly covers the use of the drop-down menu of tests and waveforms, then goes on to explain some of the more advanced features of the software, including trigger controls, manually selecting timebases and voltage ranges, custom ranges, and creating your own library of waveforms.

The course also gives hints and tips for getting the best results from the ignition pickups, current clamps and break-out leads. Delegates attending this course should have a basic knowledge of oscilloscopes and vehicle electrical/electronic systems.

2.  New Agilent VEE Driver for USB TC-08

An Agilent VEE driver is now available for our USB-connected eight-channel thermocouple data logger, the USB TC-08.

The driver together with free upgrades for all Pico software products, and free copies of our product manuals can be downloaded from our website.

3.  Featured Product: USB ADC-11

The most recent addition to the Pico data acquisition range is a USB version of the popular ADC-11 data logger.

Available in both 10-bit and 12-bit variants, up to 4 compact ADC-11 units can be connected to one PC, allowing you to create a large data acquisition system with a low per-channel cost.

Two different versions of the ADC-11 are available: the ADC-11/10 features 10 bit resolution, whilst the ADC-11/12 has 12 bit resolution — making it suitable for detecting very small signal changes.

Further improvements over the original parallel version include:

  • Twice the sampling rate (20 kS/s)
  • Twice the number of digital outputs (2)
  • Three times greater overload protection (30 V)
  • Attractive custom case
