1. New USB Thermocouple Logger Helps Make the Perfect Espresso
Last month we announced the release of our new TC-08 USB thermocouple data logger. We are pleased to find that it is already being put to good use helping the food industry to make the perfect espresso coffee.
The USB TC-08 measures a wide range of temperatures (-270 °C to +1820 °C) from up to eight thermocouples of any type.
The new unit is connected and powered from the USB port of any modern computer, if more than eight channels are required then multiple units can be used on the same PC. The new TC-08 offers several advantages over the old serial port version:
- Faster — up to 10 readings per second
- Improved accuracy
- Improved resolution
- Increased common mode voltage
In addition to temperature measurement, individual channels can be configured to measure voltage with a 20 bit resolution over a -70 mV to +70 mV range.
